Professional info
I have had more than five years of experience in journalistic writing and editing.
The majority of my experience comes from working with the award-winning Berry College newspaper, The Campus Carrier, based in Rome, Ga. In my years working with The Carrier, I covered some of the toughest issues our school has faced, from protests against a new football team to student federal arrests and everything in between. Though I did write many of these stories, I was responsible for editing even more of them so they were appropriate for our audience. After I graduated, I worked for the Southern Community of Newspapers Inc. (SCNI) as a copy editor, a job that required me to write headlines, edit body copy and lay out pages for print for any of the seven newspapers under the SCNI umbrella.
I graduated in May 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, concentration in Journalism. I look forward to hearing from you soon regarding this position.
